Training

TRAINING-IMAGE-1-Training enables Individuals to become more independent by assisting them with problem solving and decision making. Individuals work to develop skills such as writing, academics, independent living, money management, travel training and socialization. The necessary steps needed to develop the skill are incorporated into a plan developed jointly by the Individual, his/her family and the Medicaid Service Coordinator. The Individual begins working on the step he/she is weakest progressing to next step of plan when current step is learned.

Many of the EDCSPIN’s Training programs Individuals have even been able to obtain jobs thanks to the assistance gained from the program’s travel training. EDC SPIN empowers its Individuals with skills that enable them to become more productive members of society; while helping their Families by relieving some of the stress that they may encounter.

EDCSPIN Training Specialist is mostly Individuals with personal hands-on experience working with developmentally and/or physically challenged Individuals. Training Specialist is further placed through extensive personalized trainings to specifically assist the Individuals EDCSPIN services in their home and/or community.
