Project Fun After-School Program

PROJECT-FUN-IMAGEOffers developmental disabled children assistance with their homework, while teaching appropriate academic skills suitable to each Individual needs. Services are offered between the hours of 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM, four days a week (Monday-Thursday), 180 days a year, which is based on the New York City Board of Education school year calendar.

Children receiving this service must:

  • Have a diagnosis of mental retardation and developmental disability based on the eligibility criteria set by 8/25/10;
  • Must be between the ages of 5 and 17;

The program aims to teach independence and socialization skills while maintaining appropriateness in all therapeutic activities.
