Adult Day Habilitation Programs

The Day Habilitation programs at EDCSPIN offer a wide variety of services to individuals with mild to severe developmental disabilities. At EDCSPIN, we serve the hard to serve and our individuals may have other disabilities such as visual and/or hearing impairments, physical limitations, medical and/or behavioral challenges.

The Day Habilitation program promotes community experience and strives for independence. Day Habilitation addresses self-care, nutrition, household skills, communication, sensory motor challenges, behavioral and social development. Services are provided both on-site as well as in the community. Our individuals form relationships with community members in addition to volunteering at various locations in Brooklyn and Queens. Individuals, and support services are established based on each individual’s needs. Direct Support Staff are trained by the Clinical Team and the Training Department of EDCSPIN The Day Habilitation staffing ratio is 1 to 4. Higher ratios are provided as needed for more medically and behaviorally involved participants. Our Day Habilitation program also has a registered nurse on-site who ensures quality medical care for all of our individuals.

EDCSPIN's Day Habilitation programs are offered at four locations: Brooklyn (3 locations), and Jamaica Queens. In Day Habilitation, we strive for excellence and independence. Our goal is to acknowledge our individuals for their unique talent and abilities, ensuring community integration and assisting our individuals in meeting their maximum potential.
