About Us
EDC-SPIN is a nonprofit social services agency dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals and families of all backgrounds who are intellectually disabled and have other developmental disabilities. We welcome you to browse our site to learn more about the programs and services that we provide every day to more than 1,000 individuals and their families throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.
We consider it a privilege to serve and we are proud of how much has been accomplished in our first two decades. We believe we are better off today for the painstaking efforts we have taken to address lessons learned about shortcomings in past performance. The difference we have made in so many lives could only have been accomplished through the extraordinary effort of a dedicated staff working together. At EDC-SPIN, our motto is "everyone paddles, at the same time, in the same direction, toward the same goal".
At the heart of who we are and what we do is a commitment that we will measure everything we do against a simple standard: is this good for the Persons with Disabilities we serve?
